Abstract Researchers have recently shown an increased interest in estimating the direction‐of‐arrival (DOA) of wideband noncircular sources, but existing studies been restricted to subspace‐based methods. An off‐grid sparse recovery‐based algorithm is proposed this paper improve accuracy algorithms low signal‐to‐noise ratio situations. The covariance and pseudo matrices can be jointly represented subject block sparsity constraints by taking advantage joint between signal components bias. Furthermore, estimation problem transformed into a single measurement vector utilizing focused operation, resulting significant reduction computational complexity. algorithm's error threshold Cramer–Rao bound for DOA are deduced detail. effectiveness feasibility demonstrated simulation results.
